Scrap Therapy - Bring a pile of scraps and fabrics from your stash and see just how fun, quick and easy it can be to reduce the size of the pile and create beautiful items all at once. Attendance at a cutting clinic is required to join in the Therapy sessions. If you've taken a cutting clinic before, just let us know and you are welcome to start therapy right away.

Pocketbook Clinic - Join Sidney as she helps you construct a pocketbook using cottons, fleece and your imagination during this one day sewing clinic using the Miranda Day bag by Lazy Girl Designs.

Free Motion Feathers Purse - This two session class is back by popular demand.Diane Loomis will teach you the anatomy of a feather during the first session. Then, during the second session you'll put that knowledge to work making your own free motion feather purse based on her original designs.

Not Necessarily Normal...Costume Sewing for Cosplay - Help us welcome local costume designer and instructor Lani Lee as she brings her latest lecture to Wayside Sewing. Learn about costume design during her lecture and then join in an open sew session with Jill as you get the chance to put what you've learned to good practice.

Sweatshirt Jackets are back  - another two session class to teach you how to deconstruct a sweatshirt, fit it to your body shape, and create an awesome new piece of clothing for your wardrobw using Moonlight Designs stunning jacket patterns.

Sewing Basics - get back to basics in this class as we'll reintroduce you to the fundaments of good sewing. From making a clean cut, laying out a pattern, clipping curves, to overcasting and blind hems this two session class is a great way to start to sew or revisit the basics of good garment and home dec sewing skills.

Quilt Basics - For the new quilter and the experienced quilter looking for a refresher this one month long program will cover a different quilting technique each week as you create a four block sampler from the techniques and patterns used to reinforce good quilting practices.

 

For the 2009 Block of the Month club members remember to hold the date of 11/14 for the FREE quilt finishing class from 1-5pm.
